When I added the "Fan Scoring" feature to this site, I also started tracking point deductions in fights that reached a decision. This was to prevent fans from entering scores greater than the maximum possible score in rounds where deductions were incurred.
So when questions were posed on Twitter about the history of point deductions in the UFC, I used that data to compile the following list. Please note, point deductions in fights that did not reach a decision are NOT reflected in this list.
Of the 20 fights listed below, only six of them had their outcomes changed by the point deduction. Of those six, four fights ended in a draw as a result of the deduction (Ortiz/Evans, Uno/Camoes, Tavares/Lentz and Browne/Kongo). Only two fights were so affected that the winner would have been the loser if not for the deduction(s) (Marquardt/Leites and Caceres/Figueroa).
