With a unanimous decision over Alex Garcia on Saturday night, Neil Magny has now won four fights in a calendar year quicker than any other fighter in modern-UFC history. Magny achieved the feat 2 days quicker than Roger Huerta did in 2007.
Magny becomes just the twelfth fighter to get his hand raised four times in a year. Only Huerta, in 2007, has managed to win five UFC fights in a year. With over four months lefts in the year, Magny may get an opportunity to equal Huerta's mark.
Entering 2014, few would have guessed that Magny would go on such a streak. The TUF 16 veteran had lost his previous two UFC contests in 2013, and was fighting just to stay employed with the world's largest MMA organization.
