A split decision occurs when one judge has disagreed with his or her fellow judges for a given fight and submitted a scorecard in favour of the losing fighter.

One perspective is that if that dissenting judge would have agreed with his or her colleagues, the decision would have been unanimous. So, in a sense, the dissenting judge has caused the decision to be split.

Taking that viewpoint, the following chart illustrates which judges are most and least likely to cause a split decision by disagreeing with their fellow judges.

• To keep things simple, only unanimous and split decisions were factored into the analysis.
• Draws and majority decisions were excluded.
• Fights from all organizations were included.
• This list contains all judges who have submitted at least 75 scorecards in the MMADecisions.com database.
