When Iuri Alcantâra steps inside the Octagon on Sunday to fight Frankie Saenz, he will set a new record for having the most UFC fights in Brazil. It will be his 8th Brazilian UFC fight, one more than three other fighters.

Alcantâra has enjoyed considerable success fighting in his home nation, going 5-1 with one no-contest in his UFC tenure to date.

Alcantâra has been the betting favourite in all seven of his previous UFC fights in Brazil, and is currently a sizable favourite against Saenz.

Only two non-Brazilians have fought more than twice for the UFC in Brazil: Phil Davis and C.B. Dollaway (3 fights each).
